Seven things about me:

Number One:
I am officially a licensed cosmetologist! Although I would love to go back to university for fashion design and merchandising, and study more, I do love being a hair stylist. :)

Number Two:
I have three kitties! Yes, I'm very much a cat lady. :) Their names are Simba, Meeka, and Ash. Simba is more of my baby boy and Meeka is my boyfriends kitty! Ash is both of ours, though I think she prefers me. ;)

Number Three:
I'm trying to self learn french! I took it a few years back in middleschool, highschool and a few years at university. But, as they say, if you don't use it you lose it and I definetly lost it. I would also love to go visit France one day!

Number Four:
Even with all the tornado disasters, I still love the thrill of a storm. This is definetly my favourite time of year (storm wise)! And this year seems to be quite the active year for tornadoes. They are definetly a destructive beauty. Also, the sound of a tornado siren is my favourite. Not sure why.

Number Five:
Kind of coinciding with number four, but Fall is my favourite season of the year (fashion wise). I love wearing gloves, and boots and deeper hues like plums and chocolate browns. Also, capes! A woman should atleast own one of these, so classy and has a touch of vintage feel to it.

Gabi of Gabifresh

Number Six:
I'm a sushi addict. :) If I could eat sushi and/or any other japanese food for the rest of my life, I'd be a very happy woman. Unagi, or Eel, is my favourite. MMM.

Number Seven:
I'm a Sims3 nerd. I'm not much of a gamer, but when I do decide to play, I always go for Sims! It's such a fun game and easy to get lost into.

1. Name your favorite color:
Actually I'd have to say black!

New York Cheesecake for sure!

Waiting for my blazer to come in the mail from England. Damn international shipping!!

MAC had a halloween competition between three mac artists: Jenn Karsten, Fatima Thomas and Joey Camasta. I drew inspiration Joeys look, in which he was also the winner! For those who aren't familiar with it, I'll post the link below to the actual competition.

Candy Lens Circle Review part Deux

Alright! So as promised here is the next installation of my contacts review.. Now I have to clarify, this is the FIRST TIME I have ever worn contacts/put them in my eye/touched my eye before. These were actually pretty simple to put in once I got over my fear of putting something in my eye. Removing them was a different story, but I chalk that up to my personal eye phobia as opposed to the lenses themselves!

           geo ash wing in grey

COMFORT: As I said before, this was the first time I had ever worn contacts before. They were actually really comfortable. For about the first two minutes or so I felt them in my eye, but it wasn't a painful or uncomfortable feeling. Just that, it was obvious they were there. But after a few minutes that feeling subsided and it felt like nothing. They slid right into place and involved no adjusting on my part! There was also no blurriness or anything, I could see perfectly fine. The ones I got are just 0.00, so no prescription for me. :) Also, I wore these for the first time tonight and left them in for a little over four hours. The only reason I took them out was because I was removing my makeup, I could have easily left them in for a bit longer.

APPEARANCE: The colour was even better than I imagined. I somewhat wish they were a little lighter so you can see the grey more, but I also have very dark brown eyes so it's somewhat impossible. The design was very nice. They looked almost natural on me and not crazy like some contact lenses can look. The colour is beautiful!

ENLARGEMENT: I wasn't really looking on enlarging my eyes too much. These gave me a larger iris and pupil without making me look like I was on some sort of drugs or had obvious lenses in. Like I said, they are natural enough for daily wear without looking like "oh my god, what does that girl have in her eyes??" If your looking to dramatically enlarge your eye then I would go even a step up. I think these are just 14mm. They enlarge without doing TOO much.

PACKAGING: I absolutely loved the packaging they came in. I thought the decorative box and handwritten thank you note was just too cute. Very good customer service and very unique type of marketing. Those small touches do make a difference!

OVERALL: Overall, I have to say these contacts were fantastic. They last for 12 months and seem pretty durable. I will definitely be ordering these again.

Again, they can be found at candylens.com

Circle Lens Review - Candylens.com

So I just got my new geo contact lenses! They're from Candylens.com and were relatively cheap. I paid about 25$, including shipping! The wait was actually pretty quick. They took about two weeks to get here from Malaysia!

and look at the cute box!

What all was included:

       - two vials containing my geo ash wing contacts
       - a free contact case (that look like hippos!)
       - a thank you note!
       - and a note containing care and storage information

The vials contained a code that when entered at Geo21Eye.com lets you know that the contacts in fact are REAL geo lenses. Which is good because who knows what goes into the fake ones...

Look at that cute case :)

Like I said, they sent me a really adorable and handwritten thank you note.

It reads: "Dear Alexis, Thank you for your order. Hope you like this Geo Ash Wing contacts ^_^ Remember to soak the lens in solutions for at least 8 hours before wearing. Have a nice day! - Candy Lens"

They even included cute pictures of balloons, haha.

I have not put in the contacts yet as they are soaking in solution, atm! But when they are ready to go, I'll update. :)

If you like, you may purchase the above candy lens you can go to http://www.candylens.com !
